"His new face would terrify you," Crane smiles. "Joker peeled off the skin on exactly half the face. Slowly."

He glances at Harley. "He said something about needing to do something similar to the love of his life if she doesn't go home soon, but I don't have any idea who he might be talking about..."

"Gun? What gun?" Harley looked down and laughed, "Oh, this gun? This is a trick gun, see?" She pointed it up and fired.

Only to realize that this wasn't her trick gun. "What the crap..." she muttered looking down at it, "This isn't my gun...."

Yeah, but Static knows his powers don't mix well with water. And he has a few tricks up his sleeve for preventing that mix. Like blocking the stream of water coming from the hose with the bottom of his disk.

"Oh please lady. I've gone up against the green haired psycho himself. Anything you've got is old hat.""

If it were something like food, Paco probably could have been persuaded to look the other way. But the stuff in that bag was just stupid space-filler. She was being so obvious that it was clearly some sort of cry for help, anyway.

Also, this was still the Blue Beetle's town, even if he wasn't here at the moment. And Paco was the sidekick.

The half-incubus beams her the most disarming smile he man manage as he approaches, and holds out his hand. "That's not a problem, really. Why, uh ...why don't you give me the gun, and we can go have a night on the town? My treat." Because not having to force a confrontation is always preferable.

Harley squeaked and choked on her drink, "He said that? Why would he say that? Pammy, why did he say that?" Oh, she did NOT want to go home to that. But not going home would make it worse. Suddenly she just hugged Ivy, hard.

"Pammy won't let him take my face off!" She loved Mistah J, but he could be so... scary sometimes when he was mad. "He just needs time to cool off..."

She's so hung up on that she can't even picture Bats with half a face.

Bart ducks the swipe, skidding on his heels a little and losing some ground on the car.

"You could surrender, you know - that way I get back to playing LexBox and you can get back to Arkham in time for pudding!"

He scoops up a handful of pebbles - just in case he needs to pop a tire.

"Poor Harvey. Just like a disgraced Japanese businessman.."

"You've fought Mistah J?" Harley's tone was almost disbelief. Why would he waste his time with a kid he could just shoot? Oh well, maybe he was in a mood that day.

"Then you should know, I ain't him!" she flipped and stuff in that direction, yeah, she wasn't going to shoot right at him, it was all about getting a good shot, and maybe even - squeak - using the trapeze bars!

"Sure, take it, that means some schmuck in the bar has my gun!" That was a distressing thought. Her gun. Her special shoots anything gun. Harley sighed. Then brightened, "What, you mean like a date? You're actually askin me on a date!"

Maybe a bit premature, but Harley was... well... happy. And slightly drunk. And very angry at Mistah J.

"I'm workin' on it!" Harley said, to Ivy not to the kid. "You try driving this thing with the exploding and the running and the scarf!" she said swerving towards the kid, "Arkham can kiss my plushie collection!"

Crane smirks. "What I do, I do for science, Edward. They simply can't accept the radical steps I take for the advancement of human understanding," he sniffs. "The rest of you are the obsessed ones. Crazy. I'm merely a misunderstood visionary."

He rolls his eyes. "Disgrased Japanese businessman indeed. What does that even mean?"

Oh boy, apparently Paco was the mature one in this conversation. That was never a good sign.

"Seriously ma'am, you don't want to do that." One more chance before he started talking about how shoplifting was wrong in a loud voice. "Just put everything back on the shelves and go get help, okay?"

He slides the clip out of the gun, and expels the chambered round. Evidently, the man knows his firearms.

"It can be anything you'd like," he answers, sliding the weaponry into his waste band. "A date, a night on the town... Whatever suits your fancy."

"Want to do what? This?" She tossed a squeaky toy at him and then turned to run. With her bag full of stolen stuff. Harley wasn't about to do the right thing here.

"If we go I'm putting a Flash in traction first!" Ah, love. She forgets firing the bazooka and uses it more like a lance and the car, hopefully, will be her trusty steed.

Harley thought about it. Doing the visible toe tapping, chin grabbing, hmmm. "Well... anything I want?" Normally she liked to cause trouble but right now? Whatever, "What if I wanted dinner in the most expensive place ever, but it had to be totally kosher?"

"Yes, but you always go after the most obvious targets." she sniffs and takes a drink. "Please, Crane. If you're that good give me a challenge." She leans in a little. "I'll bet you cannot scare the Clown."

Harley let go of Ivy after a minute, "And I am totally not going to give you your fear-on," she said to Crane looking down at her drink, thinking of Mistah J.

And the last time she had run off and come back. She was so staying with Pammy tonight. "No one can scare Mistah J... he's perfect."
